Office of the Vice President and General Counsel

The Office of the Vice President and General Counsel represents and advises the entire University of Michigan community, including the Board of Regents, the President, the Executive Officers, Michigan Medicine and the schools and colleges on all three campuses. They provide legal guidance and advice so units can fulfill their educational, research and entrepreneurial missions in accordance with all legal and policy requirements applicable to public research universities. Audit Services

Audit Services provides services to all levels of management with information regarding the internal control environment throughout the university (UM-Ann Arbor, UM-Flint, UM-Dearborn and Michigan Medicine). They work in partnership with other university units to monitor, identify and manage risks, improve processes and investigate fraud.
